Le'Anne McEachern, Au.D. -
Le'Anne
McEachern was born and raised in Canby, Oregon. After
graduating from Canby High School, Le'Anne went on to
earn her Bachelor's degree at Lewis and Clark University
in Portland, Oregon. Her next stop was the University of
Washington in Seattle. Le'Anne graduated in 1975 with a
Master's degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology (M.S.P.A.)
and academic honors.
From
1975 to 1982, Le'Anne worked in Clinical Medical
Audiology with various doctors. She started out working
with Dr. John Lynch in Everett, WA in 1975 and then
moved on to work with Dr. Richard Vorhees in Seattle,
WA. Finally, Le'Anne worked with Dr. John Epley in
Portland, OR until 1982. In
1982, Le'Anne moved to Newport and purchased the
audiology practice that was to become Coast Hearing
Services. After being located in two different office
buildings, Coast Hearing settled into its current
location at 1217 N. Coast Hwy. Suite D in Newport.
Le'Anne continues to further her education at every
opportunity and is fully versed in the latest treatment
methods. She is also proficient with Coast Hearing's
array of cutting-edge technological tools. These tools
perform such various tasks as hearing deficiency
assessment, hearing aid calibration, and hearing aid
repair.
In March, 2007, Le’Anne received an advanced degree in
the field of Audiology and is now a fully licensed Au.D.,
Lincoln County’s only Doctor of Audiology.
Jeffery Gardner, Master Technician, H.A.S., Hearing Aid
Specialist/ Owner
- Jeffery has over 23 years helping the hard of hearing
in Oregon. He started working as a repair technician for
Miracle Ear in 1985 in Portland, Oregon. He moved to
Eugene and started working for a major hearing aid
provider where he obtained his hearing aid dealer
license. He eventually moved to Newport, Oregon in 1994
and began working at Coast Hearing Services under
Le’Anne as a manufacturer of most of the hearing aids
that were fit over the next 10 years. Now Jeff is the
owner of Coast Hearing Services retaining Le’Anne as the
Doctor of Audiology.
Kerri Gardner, Co-Owner/ Office Manager/ Insurance
Billings-
Kerri began working at Coast Hearing Services shortly
before she and Jeff purchased the company from Le’Anne.
She enjoys the privilege of working with clients and
being a part of a team that has a passion for helping
families communicate.
Nancy, Assisting Office Manager

Nancy came to CHS in 2005 and has become a valued member
of the Coast Hearing team because of her strong skills
in client relations and hard-working spirit. Shortly
after obtaining her position, it was realized that she
has a hearing loss that benefits from hearing aid
amplification. Jeff fit her with a pair of hearing aids
and has been wearing them ever since.
Keith Marquand, H.A.S., Hearing Aid Specialist
- After
finding out that he had a high frequency loss, he was
fit with hearing aids with Jeff. Jeff was looking for
help with his growing business and approached Keith with
a job in the hearing field and he accepted the chance to
help people hear better. Jeff found that having hearing
aid wearers on staff people could relate to hearing aids
better. Later, he went to school to obtain an Oregon
dealers license and now can test and fit instruments.
He works in Newport office Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and
in Lincoln City he works Wednesday, and Thursday.
Holly Gardner, Hearing Aid Specialist in Training

Holly recently graduated from the University of Oregon
with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders
and Sciences. She is now working on obtaining Hearing
Aid Specialist Dispensing License through the state of
Oregon under the guidance of Audiologist Le’Anne and the
professionals at Coast Hearing Services in Newport,
Oregon. She has been working during school breaks at
Coast Hearing Services for several years and is excited
to get involved in the clinical and technical aspects of
her family’s business in preparation for graduate
studies with the intent to eventually become a Doctor of
Audiology.
