Jeffery Gardner, Licensed Dispenser
- Jeffery has
over 23 years helping the hard of hearing in Oregon,
starting with Miracle Ear in Portland. I was just
finishing my senior year at I.T.T. Technical Institute
when the school posted a "job opportunity" on their
board. Miracle Ear was hiring a technician to repair
their hearing aids with pay starting @ minimum wage ( $
5.00 ) then. I needed to work and didn't want to travel
outside of Oregon to get the good jobs available.... so
I took it. I worked there for 1 year and moved back to
Eugene to be closer to friends and family. There I
walked into a mobile unit parked in front of Fred Meyer
store and asked the guy there if he needed a
repair man. He was just trying to fix a clients aid when
I showed up, handed the instrument to me and said fix
it. I found that the aid had a plugged up microphone
screen and poked a hole through it and said here you go.
I started working with that company the next day.

Office & Lincoln City
Keith Marquand moved to Waldport after years of living
in Canby Oregon. In 1994 he purchased an old church and
ran a business their and later converted it to a
apartment building. He also at that time started
volunteering for Waldport Ambulance Services now known
as Central Coast Fire District, and later hired by
Yachats Fire District as a part time paid EMT /
Firefighter. He has been a EMT in Oregon for 32 years.
After closing the business and selling the building he
went to work for the grocery store in town and soon
realized that he was having a hard time hearing
customers and co-workers. He set a appointment with
Le'Anne to get an hearing test and evaluation. After
finding out that he had a high frequency loss, he was
fit with hearing aids with Jeff. Jeff was looking for
help with his growing business and approached Keith with
a job in the hearing field and he accepted the chance to
help people hear better. Jeff found that having hearing
aid wearers on staff people could relate to hearing aids
better. Later, he went to school to obtain an Oregon
dealers license and now can test and fit instruments.
Right now he works in Newport office Monday,Tuesday,
Friday, and in Lincoln City he works Wednesday, and
Thursday.
